How to migrate your website to Parish Web&Host?
There are of course a few considerations when moving your old website to your new one. However, we have it covered and will help make the transition as smooth as possible. If you wish, we will even talk with you existing suppliers and manage any technical task on your behalf.
One is content; the question being do you want to move all of it, or use this as an opportunity to have a spring clean.
Domain names; Do you have a registered domain name? is it appropriate for a Parish Council? You should not use extensions such as .net, .com, or .me. Your Domain name should be a .org.uk or a .gov.uk and include the words parish council or as a minimum the abbreviation “pc”. We can provide domain names for you if you need one.
Email accounts; If you have imap accounts we can migrate them over to us, for pop3 it’s just a matter of changing your account details.
